I've only put on about 3lb but I've had really bad morning sickness

I've put on 14lb and I'm nearly 16 weeks I'm so annoyed at myself as I wanted to keep my weight down cos I was already a some overweight. .. my neighbour put on a stone and looked lovely baby was 8lb! So yes that sounds fine to me. .. Your be back pre pregnancy weight in no time :)

So long as you're eating healthily and gaining steadily you can't worry about your weight gain too much as so much contributes to it. I ate really healthily with my first pregnancy and gained 3.5 stone!! After delivery my midwife told me I had a massive placenta which probably weighed a few pounds by itself plus I had lots of fluid and a 8lb 9oz bruiser - I was back to pre-pregnancy weight in 6 weeks. (I must admit that the cake has been calling a bit more this time so I'm avoiding the scales like the plague!)

16lbs well in to your third trimester sounds reasonable to me - keep a steady gain in mind and you'll be fine :-)

I'm 5ft9, 37 weeks pregnant, was 10st4 to begin and now 14st7. Eaten healthily throughout (i have drank lots of milk though) I can honestly say the weight gain doesn't bother me and the midwife isn't concerned either. Sure I will shift it pounce baby is here :)

I think they say that if you are a good weight to start with, generally you would gain max 2 stone over the full term, so you're doing fine

Babymother - I'm the same, I've put on about 13lbs and I'm 16 weeks. Hoping it's more fluid than fat as I've been eating healthy :-)

Woah, I've put on 27 pounds and am 24 weeks I was 8.5 stone pre pregnancy so was under my bodies healthy weight as I was unwell. They say if your BMI is normal pre pregnancy then you should be looking to gain between 25-35 pounds but it varies so much!

I have not even measured myself up for weight - i think the dress size going up is already a disappointment so i dont want to shock myself again. But there are some online pregnancy weight calculators and it seems you are doing quite well and normal !

i'm 27 weeks today and i've put on about 8kg (which i think is about 17Ibs). I don't look big - except the belly, don't feel that big so it seems like a lot to me, but like the others are saying, the baby is fine so i'm happy! xx
