I've just had a gush of clear wet liquid which has meant I need to change my knickers. It's not urine (I've had that before following a sneeze) and does not resemble discharge. I'm 22 weeks pregnant. Should I be concerned? Anyone had similar?

Always get it checked. .. ring ur maternity dept.. put a pad on so they can check if it is ur waters..x
Ring the maternity ward/ unit. The community midwife usually writes the number on your green notes book.
Thanks for your replies. I followed your advice and spoke to the maternity ward. I was advised to put on the pad and ring back in two hours. As the pad was wet when I rang back they asked me to come in. Following internal examination and check of baby's heartbeat, I was discharged. No explanation really but advised to get in touch again if it happens. Good advice ladies, thank you. X
Hi i missed your post last night I would have told you to do the same.
I had exactly the same thing at 16 weeks (26 now) I was panicking thinking my waters had broken (never experienced waters breaking before as I had a section with my first).
My sister (who is also pregnant) has a similar thing but not as heavy and she was told to put a pad on monitor it and ring back in 2 hours.) I had it checked out and everything was fine apparently it can happen if you are carrying alot of excess fluid (I am and did with my first too at the start) Its normal to lose some fluid whist pregnant but do keep an eye on it)
My first started as little bits here and there and at 26week they started monitoring the amniotic fluid around the baby by scans and noticed that I was losing it alot more than I should have been. Ended up having to bring her birth forward 6 weeks due to her having no fluid and not growing properly, (preeclampsia) although they expected her to be in intensive care for a while she was born at 4lb 3oz and was 100% fine (although abit dry and flaky skin from not having any fluid) I was home with a health 6 week prem baby after 4 days.
