Get referred to midwife but I'm not sure how long it takes and how long for my first scan as I've never gone to docs this late with my others it's been at 4 weeks then midwife at 8 weeks so its new to me xxx

Usually you have a booking in appt with midwife t 10 weeks then your scan at 12 weeks, so obviously you will be a bit late, has the doc sent your referral to the hospital, you might be rushed through if not you will be seen within four weeks.

Why did you leave it so late? Between 12 and 13.5 weeks is the scan and Down syndrome tests.

The receptionist said it may get rushed through had alot on with my son having an op ect so I sort of put it to aside x

I booked in at 6wks with midwife only due to not knowing if this was a new pregnancy or still January's one, (had a bleed after a positive test) turns out it's a new one. They booked me in for a scan and I was 6 + 3. I'm now 10wks today and my nuchal translucency scan is on the 23rd of may making me 13wks +5. It's all new to me also as with my last 5 I got blood test off doctor to comfirm pregnancy, this time I didn't and was told it's all changed. Hope you find out soon x

It took 2 weeks from my app to get my dating scan date through. It was 17days after my midwife app that I finally had my scan. They were usless. Once the midwife has sent your refferl off keep ringing the hosp scan department to see if you have been allocated a date, thats what I did.
