Thank you Sarah. We shall be staying at

home for a while longer I fear. Too soon in our opinion to relax so many rules,

That’s really useful to know. Have to say I’m pretty much staying at home too, but I know not everyone can all the time. I was at my father’s funeral this week and trying to work out how to drink just enough for hydration on the hottest day of the year but not enough to need a toilet was an added anxiety I could have done without.

So sorry to hear about your father. Essential to drink enough on hot days. Take care x

Thank you. You are right, hydration is critical, especially with the IBS-C, which I have to deal with. By the way, I’m going back to milled flaxseed to give it another try, after your mention. Starting with just a teaspoon a day!

Meanwhile the garden is a major distraction - is your ‘handle’ the David

Austin rose? I’ve just got into rose growing and have a few from his collection...

Yes I think so - it has the most lovely fragrance - sort of spicy! I would love to bottle it! We nearly drowned it when we revamped the garden and kept it in a pot without drainage but it survived and has

been glorious this summer!

I have a climber called Compassion and another called Mai Gold which starts flowering very early - late April this year! Could write a lot about roses!
