I managed to book my 1st jab for next Friday 12th. Once booked I was asked if I wanted to book second jab at same place so I said yes. It then can back saying there are no slots avaiable and going by my 1st jab date to book it after May 1st.
The alternative was to book 2nd jab in Oxford which is about an hours drive away. Problem is I no longer drive nor does rest of family
No idea how this is supposed to work as I have to stay local (Swindon) and at the moment only one small pharmacy is doing the jab. Does any one know if I will contacted again for getting 2nd jab?? No point going back onto nhs website as it only walks you rgerough setting up the 1st jab.
Thanks fo any info or if anyone knows where I can info I would be grateful

I booked my second jab when booking my first 23rd April x
Hi dindy, well done for getting that slot for your first vaccine injection. With regard to the second, there are lots of people who have had the first but not booked the second as they were allocated slots by their GP surgeries. I'd had my jab before I even got a letter asking me to book one. And that letter says that if you've already had one, the NHS will contact you with regard to a second. And I'd think the same will apply to you. Hope it all goes well!
Thank you for all your replies & help. It has put my mind at ease. It is going to be a busy day Friday what with doctor face to face in the morning to see how I am getting on with my new Diltiazem tablets and 1st vaccine in the afternoon.
After I had booked my jabs online, my GP phoned and offered to jab both my wife and I, and to cancel the jab I had to travel for, but the link for cancelling or changing a jab appointment dont work.... if you want advice, you can dial 119 on your housephone, its free, but there will be a queu to join..... have they still got the big roundabout with little ones around it, near the football ground in Swindon. 🙂👍
The magic roundabout, yes they have. Once you have used it a few times it is very easy but need to keep your eyes & wits about you. Swindon seems to have a thing about **cking up roundabouts. The latest one which is called Mannington roundabour is so badly signposted even the council say it is all wrong. Cannot make out why when they decide to make a roundabout more effecient for motorists they make the roundabout even bigger rather than smallerso the motorists have more room. Not sure if he is on the council still but counciller in charge of roads etc in Swindon despises cars and alwysa seems to work against them.
Why do they have 2 lanes coming into one lane at roundabouts virtualy all over the country which only clogs up traffic,I give up.
