Hi everyone. Sorry this is a little later than normal today.

Here's the BRAINWORKS for December 2nd. You can use the clues to help you solve the missing letters in each word and figure out the daily theme. You can take your time and there's no need to rush. If you have any questions, please let me know anytime. This is for fun! :-)

Fill in the Blank

1. M __ C __ I __ E ( Can be plugged into the wall)

2. N __ E __ L __ ( Sometimes can be pointy/sharp)

3. S C __ S __ O __ S ( Cut with them)

4. P __ P __ R ( Can be written on)

5. T __ I __ B __ E ( Can be worn on the thumb)

Hi Charlie,Things are great and yes I had a great night's sleep. No alarms. :-) I did do some reading before bed last night, but I still have 187 pages to go before I finish my book. It's getting really good! :-)

That’s brilliant about the alarms and good sleep. I love it when you really get into a book or a film and hours fly by because you are trance fixed. My internet went down last night so sorry if I didn’t get back to you. 😊

No sorry necessary! We had a lot of rain here yesterday during the day and into the evening after dinner, so the WIFI and internet in the house were a little spotty. You can always get back to me whenever you're able. :-)Yes, I feel the same way about a book. I think the only time I refused to finish a book was two times in my life and it was because those two books weren't that good (in my opinion). I think I actually donated those two to my Senior Center before we closed for COVID reasons. Other than that, you will always catch me with a book in my arms/lap and trying to see how far I can go before getting to the very last page. :-)

Didn’t you also have a storm or thunder ? Two books out of how many ? It is lovely that you donated the books - hopefully quite a few people can enjoy them. I’m such a donut - you mentioned a book you had as a present which were two names I think and I was going to buy it. But I can’t remember the name. 😊

Holly and Ivy, by Fern Michaels. I'm going to start it very soon. :-) And, no, you're okay. No worries if you forget now and then. :-)Yes, thunder and rain two days in a row.

πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ I am silly for not remembering something Christmas related. That’s rubbish about the weather. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be ?

Activity2004 profile image
Activity2004β€’ in reply toNarwhal10

That's a hard question to answer. There's a lot of places I would like to visit because of all the friends I have around the world, but a lot of the family I have is in the USA. So, I would have to flip a coin and pick that way, I guess.

Machine? MACHINE? OK. You got me on that one BUT (Don’t you just love those β€œBUTs”?!) That’s kinda weird since the word doesn’t exactly make someone automatically see a picture (In their mind.) of a machine plugged into a wall socket. Machine, huh? Mmmmmmm πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Activity2004 profile image
Activity2004β€’ in reply toMidnight-Blue

Machine is correct! :-) There are different types of machines that can be plugged into the wall for different projects/jobs. A sewing machine is used with electricity for the spoil of thread to be pulled/used. Way to go! :-)
