8 months in to PMR, following DL tapering, no problems but during night felt very tender area in right temple, no other symptoms. Telephoned hospital, then had exceptional care from Norfolk and Norwich, seen by Registrar, bloods taken and picked up Pred. 50 mg. All within 4 hours of initial worried call.
Given Omo stomach protector, which I’ve never taken to date, seemed ok on good breakfast and Greek yoghurt. Worried about this! Real question, due to take Covid vaccine next Tuesday - emergency ultrasound due around then, should I postpone?

I think I’d try and reschedule Covid vaccine… not because of possible GCA per se, but so that it doesn’t clash with ultrasound, which will be probably be enough for you to contend with.
As for Omeprazole, there’s big difference between 50mg and what you have been on, so maybe see how your current regime of breakfast and Greek yogurt goes for now. You can always add it in should it definitely be GCA… if it isn’t then you will be able to reduce the Pred quickly so it won’t be an issue.
