Private Rheumatology Appointment

HiI have been suffering from what I believe may be a type of Vasculitis but having no luck getting a diagnosis on the NHS. My DR referred me to Rheumatology but I felt the consultant dismissed Vasculitis due to normal blood work.

All my symptoms seem to match and they are now so bad I haven't been able to work for 3 weeks.

Are there any recommendations for a private consultant that has experience in Vasculitis.

I live in the Dorset area but would be willing to travel further if I could find someone who may help.

Have replied to Chat message with another suggestion to list your symptoms on the Vasculitis forum… as not sure they are all typically PMR/GCA.

Keep all options open..

I see Doctor Khurshid at Poole hospital and have found him to be very good. He is very precise and efficient and does listen.

There are other autoimmune disorders that can mimic PMR/GCA and other vasculitides. Some of them come under neurology rather than rheumatology. As DorsetLady suggests, put a medical history in your Bio and perhaps a clue will appear. Include any subtle symptoms that may seem unrelated.
