Those of you who attended our exercise webinar in PMRGCAuk Week or who are members of the charity will know that we are fundraising and awareness raising during July with our Marathon in a Month campaign.

Members, staff, trustees and support groups are walking, either individually or as part of a team, to walk 26.2 miles during July to spread the word about PMR and GCA and raise money.

So far we've raised over £4,000 and spoken to people about the conditions who never even knew they existed.

If you're able to sponsor us, or just want to see how we're doing, you can do so here: justgiving.com/campaign/mar...

If you want to take part, it's not too late and you can find out how to do so here: pmrgca.org.uk/walk-a-marath...

In the picture are trustee Janice Maddock with her husband on one of their walks around their local Lido; treasurer Geoff Holroyd with his wife and sponsors/friends who joined them for a walk (and lunch!) and the dog is mine - he's walking the marathon with me and this was one of our practice walks along the Serpent Trail in West Sussex in the pouring rain last week.

I’m doing the challenge and am really enjoying having something to aim for whilst raising funds for the charity who helps us so much!

I have been tagging you in pics etc which also help to encourage donations although I always stress awareness raising is also very important indeed.

I was delighted and rather humbled to see that last night at the end of my second week of the Marathon in a Month, that my walking has raised over £450 and we are only halfway through! So it’s a win, win from all sides.

I’m only 7 months post diagnosis, so I just have to remember to rest as well as I have sometimes overdone it, and paid the price!

Good luck to anyone else doing or supporting the challenge👍

AmberGamble, that's so lovely to hear. Brilliant that you've raised so much money already too. Thank you to you and all the supporters.

Also, could you message me privately - I'd love to use one of your photos if possible.
