Have you had this pain before or is this new? Where is the pain exactly? Any swelling?

in the joints in the middle of the toes or underneath the toes? Does it ache all the time or have ouchy moments at certain times?

Have you looked at your footwear that you wear most of the time? If you’re a bare foot person, it might be time to cushion those joints. It might also be worth seeing a podiatrist if you are able to make sure your feet are planting properly and other issues we get after musculoskeletal illnesses and dare I say it, ageing.

Good suggestion re seeing a podiatrist. There are sandals you can buy that are more supportive of the feet. Vionics and Strive are two makes recommended. They’re not old lady styles either. I was told by a podiatrist that flip flops are a no go but I have bought sandals with a toe post from both those makes.

The obvious suggestion is to go back to 4mg and see of it improves.

And a plea: please don't use your user name as the title of a post. The title is to give an indication what your question/problem is, and when there are other related posts, they will be listed for you once you have posted. Unless you say what it is about, that can't happen. Your name will appear automatically,

Hi Tina, I have had PMR/GCA for 7 years plus and have developed foot sensitivity. There are some apparently flat comfortable shoes that I cannot wear without developing deep bone foot pain. I have found a pair of slip on UGG shoes that are really like a second skin, expensive and worth it. No more random toe or heel pain. It doesn’t sound like a flare. With me it is all about an even angle and good support.

I feel like I am walking on stones, at least they are smooth stones. I will have a look at the UGG shoes. Thanks.
