I’m currently on 4mgs of Pred and into the third week of this dose. I’m now experiencing neck pain again and have developed a painful lump on jaw bone in front of ear. Not sure whether this might be related to PMR or is something else. Anyone got any ideas?

Probably a Stupid Question
No question is stupid..
Lumps aren't usually connected to PMR, so think it needs further investigation - but I'd been inclined to put a hold on reducing any further for time being...
Is it painful, hard or soft, does it move...do you have any issue with tooth/teeth around that area? Is the neck pain on same side or both sides?
it’s hard and doesn’t move. It’s actually gone down a lot during the course of today but is still painful to touch. Don’t think I’ve got any teeth left that far back! Neck pain is in the middle.
In that case, not sure lump and neck pain are connected...but one never knows..... could just be a benign cyst, but do monitor it, and please make an appointment with GP (however difficult that may be) - it does need checking.
No stupid questions - possibly stupid answers ... But we do try to avoid them!
Since there is a lump I'd think the PMR may have nothing to do with it but you DO need an opinion from your GP and possibly your dentist.
