Feeling pleased because at my GP appointment today I told doc about PMRGCAuk and he was very interested (had not heard of it).

I happened to have my copy of Kate Gilbert’s book with me, so I have lent it to GP.

Brilliant! I like it 😀. It reminds me of when I was first diagnosed, had my second (I think) appointment with my GP, and had that book with me in my bag ready to get out. I didn't actually show it to him but quoted from it in defence of a few things he was saying. I left the practice soon after as I wasn't happy with him or his attitude, very arrogant.

My GP had never heard of this forum and had a look at it. Unfortunately one of the first things she read was a post saying very derogatory things about GPs so that was that...☹️

Hate to say it - but she should try being on this side of the fence!!

A couple of rheumy consultants are concerned that so many of us experience problems with GPs - they aren't taking the huff but trying to do something about it.

Doctors and other health professionals can join PMRGCAuk free of charge and receive the NewsWire newsletter and attend the AGM etc.
