Hi from me had a coffee with a friend I hadn't seen for a few years and found out she also had PMR and was now after 2years is on a low dose she's cuts every 8 weeks 0.5 mg she tells me when she gets to her 4 week she takes extra 5mg for 2days then extra 2 for 2days then starts back on her3mg for the rest of her 8weeks her out look is because thy say can be dripping tap she wants to mop up any inflammation but I did say mayb not dripping wondering if she got it right xx

If it suits her and she isn’t flaring maybe she has. It’s not the normal way to do things, but if it works - fine. Be interesting see how she copes when she gets to 1mg or zero.

Even with that there is likely to come a time where the total dose still isn't enough to keep her going the full month. Some people only need a very low dose - lucky them.
