Hi, had rheumatology appointment last week and just received the letter sent to my GP, which included 'bilateral temporal arteries were pulsatile' and not sure if this is a good thing?

It means they could feel a pulse on both sides. This is a good thing.

They could feel a pulse in the temporal arteries on both sides. That is a sign that the arteries are not being blocked by inflammation and, as Snazzy says, a good sign. Some rheumies will take it as a sign that the temporal arteries aren't involved.

Oh dear, what a pity the rheumy didn't explain that to you at the time - reassurance is always welcome! Glad it was good news in the end though.

Yes, she did not mention it when she examined me, it just appeared in the letter to my GP.
