Thank you everyone who replied to my post. I am totally at a loss what it could be. Hoping it is not PMR. Will report back after my xray. All I know is it is painful!

I’m sorry you’re suffering. I have PMR but also developed spinal stenosis and needed decompression surgery of my lumbar spine. I don’t believe these were linked in my case as I’d had previous spinal problems. Once I’d had an MRI it was pretty obvious what the problem was and I took myself to a private neurosurgeon who operated a year ago. I’m much better although still have some pain on top of the PMR pain. I hope you get an X-ray and MRI to workout what your back pain cause is.
