Nephrotic syndrome

Hi everyone;

I am diagnosed that i ve nephrotic syndrome, i am taking pred , is there is any medication can i take rather than pred , ?

I think that's something you need to discuss with your doctor....I know you have been on this forum for a month but you've never actually said you have PMR or GCA which is what it is for.

I doubt many on here know about Nephrotic syndrome, or could advise on alternative medication.

Hi DorestLadyI am using now pred , they are trying to suppress my immune system, is there is any drug rather than pred to suppress immune system

If you have PMR/GCA then no. None of us could advise on nephrotic syndrome medication, that's up to your medical team. But I imagine they find pred is the best option - and don;t think other medications to suppress the immune system don't have adverse effects. Most of pred's downsides can be managed with care and a bit of diligence.
