I had a 2nd Covid jab (AZ) about 10days ago. The next day I had pain in my legs. I normally have shoulder pain but am used to it and it doesn't stop me doing things that I want to. I was on 5.g/4,5 alternating daily. I couldn't get hold of the rheumatologist dept by phone or email so did an online form for the GP. I had a call saying that they had not heard of anyone having a flare after a jab but I could increase by what I had suggested ie plus 5mg for 5 days. I am on day 4 and my have not felt the slightest bit of effect from this. It may not be enough I suppose but when I did this a few years ago for a holiday it worked very well Should I have felt some sort of improvement ?

Taking more pred for a flare, not working

Your GP may not have heard of anyone flaring after vaccine, but that doesn't mean he right---according to previous posts on here!

Bless - given how difficult it is to contact a doctor these days that really doesn't surprise me but do suggest they come on the forum and take a survey! Plenty here ...
I have had a flare but didn't up the pred much, just went back to the dose I've been on most of the last 2 years which keeps the stiffness at bay and the fatigue bearable instead of overwhelming. It is 6 weeks - just beginning to feel a bit less meh ...
