You could try taking magnesium - that is a very common cause of muscle cramps for people on pred as pred makes us lose more than usual in the urine.
I was going to suggest Magnesium too. It has even stopped restless legs during an episode, for me.
I massage Magnesium Sleep lotion into my legs and feet at night, it's very effective both for cramp and aiding sleep. For nights when I get really 'fizzy feet' I put warm/hottish water into a bowl, dissolve some Westlab Sleep Mag. and Dead Sea Salts, stick my feet in and read a book for 20 minutes whilst soaking them up...soothing and it works for me.
I like the lotion and salts because you can use them when necessary, rather than taking pills which can upset the gut but that's just my preference. Calcium and magnesium need to be in a 2:1 balance so worth checking on your next blood test maybe. Lots of info from reputable sites out there.
I just learned to not stretch. I canโt stand the thought of taking more medications, but I do believe itโs pretty common for people on steroids. It seemed to subside after I reached 10mg.
