Reflexology and PMR

Just joined a workshop on hand reflexology. One area mentioned was adrenals. I am wondering whether I should work on these areas, which presumably would stimulate them or leave it until I am off Pred Diagnosed in 2017, been up and down from 8 to 4 over the last few months and then back to 7 as advised by rheumy.

Might be worth trying now you are at 5mg - have you been up and down because of PMR symptoms or poor adrenal function symptoms?

Up and down with Pred because of recurrence of shoulder and hip discomfort, also CPR was up and down, shown by blood tests. My rheumy is very good, I saw him privately just before Christmas and since then by emails (which he doesnt charge for!). Said to try and be on 5mg when I had my Covid jab, which was on 23rd January and I will continue on this until end of February then try dropping to 4 before blood test in Mid March. Its surprising how different doctors have different views about tapering etc.

Mmmm - but when you repeatedly get a return of inflammation at a similar dose it is your body telling you you have reached your interim destination in terms of dose. It doesn;t mean you won't get lower, just not yet.

It can’t do any harm Mary. The very fact that you joined this workshop is a healing sign, crawling out of the forest into the sunshine.

I’d be very interested to know how you get on Mary.
