Help, advice needed. Flare, have had to take 10mg, what decrease now

Hi, got down to 2-1/2 last year, then upped to 6mg. Managed to get down to 4mg and have achieved 3-1/2 mg on DL slow plan. However, 2 weeks after achieving 3-1/2 pains started, have been stressed due to bereavement and this morning I was in so much pain I took 10mg, pain is going. Question is what do I do now? Help and advice needed, thank you xx

Maybe stay there for 5-7 days to mop up inflammation. Then you could probably drop back to 5mg without any issue - but from there you might need to rethink how you progress.I would stay there for a month - and depending on how you feel physically and mentally decide if you’re going to taper slowly 0.5 a time or take a punt and go to 4mg.

Thank you DL, I was in such terrible pain, I was desperate. Will follow your advice. I think the stress of the bereavement has gone as it was a blessing. Monday funeral so I feel I can move on. I have gone straight from one reduction to the next, not this time.Thank you so much, by the way love your new picture, your hair looks lovely xx

Thank you. I lost my hubby when I was on low teens of Pred...and yes bereavement does knock you about. Take care.
