Pain that comes and goes

Sorry to be a bother again but these pains have me perplexed. The last few days I have had neck , upper arm and buttock pain. It lasts for a couple of hours and then disappears. It keeps coming back in the same places and disappears for a few hours before reappearing. A new symptom for me. It never lasts all day but keeps coming back.

Do you perform any regular activity that uses these particular muscle groups? What do you do to relieve it?

Is the pain on one side only?

You may be under-dosing though. Have you experimented with upping your Pred dose a little?

It could be heralding a flare. In that case you could try an extra 5 mgs for a week or so then go back to your original dose. This may head it off. Unless your detective work has pointed to another cause.

Thanks Sheffield Jane for replying. I can’t think of any activity that would cause the pain. The pain is on both sides. I’m having my complete bloodwork done today at 1:00. I’ll wait to do that and then I’ll try adding 5mg for a week. Feels like a flare but comes and goes. ❤️

How strange - is it at the same time of day? After doing something particular?

Not at a predictable time of day. Haven’t done anything out of the ordinary. Sometimes mild pain other times more moderate.
