Hello Primarose
Well, you asked for it!
Progress is patchy and I don't seem to be conquering any mountains.
Nearly 2 years now. Felt as if I were making some sort of gradual progress until some time in summer, but then seemed to hit a 'barrier' and go backwards.
Kept tapering v slowly. At 7.5mg, began to have persistent nausea + tired all the time. 7mg ~ the same. 6.5 felt v dodgy and then I tried 6mg and had a flare. Felt really bad.
Went back to 7.5 but it didn't help much so resorted to 10mg. That felt better, but I was back to the weak and wobbly condition I'd been in on higher doses. Keep losing my balance. However the nausea disappeared = silver lining!
Now alternating betw 8.5 and 9mg. Think I better restrain myself to an even slower taper than before.
Been out of circulation for a while, but today went back to choir. A tonic! Wobbly but could still sing. Raises spirits.
Hope you're doing better than me.
Onwards n upwards.
Lovely to hear from you. Sorry things aren't progressing as well as you would have liked.
I had the same problems as you when I reached about 7mgs, I thought a relapse was coming on. The doctor ordered bloods but said there were "satisfactory". Having read up, I think that it could have been the adrenals kicking in.
I managed to get through the 7mgs problem but I didn't have a lot of energy at the time.
So pleased that you are back in your choir. I have always wished that I could sing but it usually comes out like load of strangled cats.
Keep up the singing!
