So I changed my avatar. This is a picture of me as a kid. When I was born, my older brother was disappointed that he got a sister instead of the baby brother he requested. I suspect that putting his football gear on me was a way to send a message to my parents (whom were expecting another child at the time that he was still wanting that brother - he got his wish). I picked this pic for two reasons: 1) it reminds me of my brothers and 2) that football gear is a bit symbolic of fhe need to ‘guard myself to symptoms and to be a ‘warrior’.
Happy Mother’s Day to you all.

What an absolutely, totally darling picture!!! You are adorable. Though the passage of Time and life experience in general "throws it's slings and arrows of discontent"...we never really change! Seeing pictures of myself, my brother or even my dear Ma, none of us change really, as we are still easily recognisable. It's the expression in our faces and the way our eye squint when we smile!
Lovely picture, thank you for posting.
Big hugs for Mother's Day from sunny Wiltshire in the South West of the UK.

Adorable! My two older brothers were also disappointed at having a sister... but I grew on them, and in turn they turned me into a Tom Boy! : )
