This is me with my fav TV chef today - he gets better and better!
How did you spend your Saturday?: This is me with... - PMRGCAuk
How did you spend your Saturday?
Lucky you, and yes agree he’s a lovely man!
No swearing, no histrionics, just down to earth and obviously still loves what he does.
Absolutely spot on, we had a lovely chat afterwards - he always has time for you - plus of course he is a fellow Yorkshireman!
Ah, but he now lives down south!
He does but you know the saying you can take the boy out of Yorkshire but you can't take Yorkshire out of the boy - but hear this - he is moving! and I can't tell you where or I'll be killed!
Someone in the audience had heard he was moving so asked where to - he said it was true but avoided answering to where - we all know how private he is - yet when he signed my book I said I know you're not saying but are you moving back to Yorkshire? He said no I already have a house there, and guess what! he told me where he was moving to and no I'm not telling anyone!
Lucky you, Telian! Met him once when he was demonstrating at a huge WI affair some years ago - my friend is a member. We were late arriving into his marquee so thought we’d just slip quietly into the back row but he paused, stared at us with that cheeky look of his and made a comment which we didn’t catch. He’s so relaxed and laid back as he’s cooking and humorous with it.
He doesn't miss a trick - he was cooking lamb today and he had two racks of lamb and was explaining which part of the sheep they came from then asked for a volunteer - he had this woman on all fours pretending to be a sheep while he pointed out which part of her body the cut came from - it was hilarious. Anyway he cut the number of chops he needed for the dish and jokingly he attempted to throw the second rack into the bin when he heard someone tut. That was fatal for them as he sought them out and presented them with the uncooked rack of lamb! It was so funny particularly as the chap said it wasn't him - he sat there all nicely dressed holding this meat not knowing what to do with it until his wife produced a plastic bag and promptly put it in her bag!
I can just picture the scenario - him to a T! It sounds as though you had a fun time.
We really did, it made a dreadful rainy day brilliant - we see him each year and wondered how he could top the previous years without repetition but he came up trumps again...
It's probably just as well you weren't asked to be the lamb. If it is as me I would still be there. 🤢
That's just what I thought, when he asked the volunteer woman to bend over (true) and be the lamb, the first thing I thought was couldn't even get in that position never mind stay there......
Jealous 💚
Also a fan!
Goodness! There’s a boost to your immune system.
Wow, I`m jealous.......love him.....
So jealous!
Ohhhhh yippie Telian! Good job you! Up close and personal! ❤️❤️❤️
He's so lovely , in person he mesmorises me - behave yourself woman! At least I can contain myself one woman ran down the front to supposedly ask a question and tried to pull him over the counter to kiss him - that's not me I'm afraid, I understand his privacy well..
I was there to! Front row seats. It was amazing! Got to try the food after too
Oh what a shame we were second row left hand side seats 8 & 9 - I nearly asked if someone might be going to say hello, we declined the food but as you say it was amazing.
Jealous!!
Sounds like you had a fabulous day! It would do you the world of good! x
