Does anyone have trouble getting up off floor after picking something up or getting off chair after sitting an hour or so? Does your butt feel like you have no padding on it when you are tired?

Trouble getting up
I purchased a spikey Phyiso ball and using this managed to get rid of the problem .
It was a feeling of not getting comfortable when sitting so much so some times I would lay on the floor watching TV as it hurt sitting down .
All I did was place ball in that area and roll the ball about against a wall or floor and put as much pressure on it as I could.
Absolutely. Bending to feed the cat, getting out of bed. Sitting down!! of all things. 2 months, now on 15mg Prednis which kills the pains but, doc has put me on a bone supplement, Natecal D3. It's just VILE, chewable tablets, twice a day. Insomnia, fever, and the taste lingers 24 - 7. There has to be an alternative. Disgusting stuff. Someone mentioned claw hand? Locking up...mmm, I've hd that recently. Complicated disease is PMR.
Prunes Alsdouble! There was a discussion about them recently and I'm now a convert. healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk...
I suspect lots of us do!
It may be worth asking your doctor for a physiotherapy referral as pred CAN lead to muscle atrophy (doesn't have to) and in that case the right sort of exercises can help build the muscles up and strengthen them.
Without my grabber everything would stay floor side. One of question on disability part of benefit was can you pick a bit of paper off the floor. Because of back injury even 15 years ago I couldn't. I was at work circling a bit a paper like a sumo wrestler....until someone picked it up for me.
Thanks for the laugh, sumo wrestler!
Will have to get a grabber!
Yes, and it takes great effort and pain just to turn over in bed at night. Rising out of bed is very painful also. Usually once I get going it its much better. Getting out of a car is the same. Embarassing in public. Could never get down on the floor without help up
