Firstly a big thank you for all your replies to my post concerning the shakes and pain in the groin, thigh and hips. However I'm still not clear as to whether its the PMR that's giving me this condition or the Prednisolone. Can anyone help please. Terri

My suggestions about the hip, thigh and groin pain are that it may be trochanteric bursitis - not necessarily directly part of PMR but often found alongside it and possibly caused by the same thing as the PMR (PMR is the symptoms of an underlying condition, not the disease itself). The shakes may be due to the pred - which is why a local cortisone injection is often a better option for trochanteric bursitis than a higher dose of oral pred.
