Why ENT? How bizarre! The usual routes are rheumatology, ophthalmology and neurology. Your temples are nothing to do with ears, noses or throats!

What has your GP suggested he thinks you have?

Her response was that she is puzzled with why i am having these symptoms and as to what is causing the inflammation in my blood. Will not go down the root if gca because I am 41 so are looking for other answers I was confused when she said ent to me but it's been over 6 months I'm willing to give anything a go.

Oh yes - remember now. Must remember to tackle someone about this "age limit" thing...

Good luck - you're right, you need to see someone other than a GP.

I know there are others but I can't find them at the moment and I'm about to go on holiday.

In addition, a 37-year old in South Wales was found at post mortem (he died of something else) to have had undiagnosed GCA - it made the local paper.

I do hope you get some sense and a suggestion of what it might be if they don't accept the possibility of GCA.

Hi mabs786 What a rigid approach from your GP some doctors need to think outside the box from time to time. If you have any problems with your eyes please go to A & E fast. Good Luck Val
