I have an icy left cheek and now my left foot feels the same, it feels like someone is injecting cold water in them. I started on 60 mg pred in October now on 25, the doctor seems to think its a nerve where I had a temporal lobe biopsy but I haven't told doctor about it being in my foot yet.

Hi

I also had biopsy in December (Xmas eve)! so might be same reason.......thanks but wonder if this will stop

Also right hand gets cold and pins and needles. Was 100% healthy and looking forward to my early retirement at 55, taken last year, hey ho suppose could be worse !!!

Both of you should tell your GP about these feelings. GCA is part of the vasculitis family and it can affect other parts of the blood supply. My GP, the podiatry clinic and the hospital always checked the pulse in both feet.

I was always a 'hot' person and had never worn a long sleeved jumper, put my feet out of the bed, used the lightest of duvets. During GCA, bought bedsocks, long-sleeved jumpers, slept in a duvet sandwich and the central heating was on for much longer. So I felt the cold much more.

Normally, together with the pred, you are prescribed 75mg of soluble aspirin, this is a blood thinner.

However, I do know a person who has both and they were in the reverse situation. We are all different and re-act differently so always check it out.
