My dad was admitted to hospital with black stools . He 81 feels bloated , hardly eating and got constant loose bowels ! CT scan shows. Thickening of the colon and he's awaiting a colonoscopy ? I'm worried sick ? Can anyone offer advice and thoughts on this ?

Unable to advise regarding symptoms, but I'm sending love and hugs to you, your dad and all family and friends, stay strong for your dad but at the same time you'll need 'me time' to help him through any treatment xxxx

My Dad had the exact same symptoms but was admitted to hospital due to an aneurism and they investigated the bowel issues whilst he was in there.
He is 81 too.
We were told it is cancer but he is not able to have any surgery or treatment due to the aneurism and he has a weak heart.
Is your Dad having and treatment at all?
