Red and swollen tongue is a classic symptom of B12D

Dryness in the mouth and lack of taste could be lots of things.

I associate dryness with migraine (which can be another sign of B12D), Can't say that I've really noticed 'no taste' as well but then I don't think I have ever thought about it, though I do notice a tingling as well. For me these are early signs of the migraine coming on. Some people experience migraines that don't actually result in headache but they do have flashing lights, snow storms or waving distortions in vision - I get colour distortions but also get the headaches most of the time.

Viruses can also do strange things - dry lips and mouth

Could be so many things.

I suffer from the skin in my mouth peeling and a lot of mouth ulcers. My dentist said that mouth problems like this can be caused by low B12. I sometimes get a strange taste in my mouth, but never no taste. Do you suffer from it all of the time?

I have lost quite a degree of my taste and smell perception with PA - now I'm getting bi-weekly injections I get odd flashes of taste coming back so I'm hoping I may eventually get back to normal! (Lol!)
