Ihave type two diabetes which i take... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Ihave type two diabetes which i take tablets for but i also have B12 deficiency which i have had injection for two weeks could i have PA.
I believe metformtin tablets interfere with b12 absorption.
Something you probably need to discuss with your doctor
I have read that as well that Metformin is a drug that depletes
B12 from the system.. there are also common drugs such
as Ibuprofen, antacids and others on that list It's hard to
know unless your doctor does a blood test to know..
Thank you for your reply. Will discuss this with them.
Do you have a history of autoimmune in your family , if so it is quite likely . Mine started with mouth ulceration and very sore tongue , mouth wash and toothpaste blew my head off , even fizzy drink caused reallyshattering pain . GP said nothing was wrong so asked my dentist , he said he knew what it was and got me a referral to Maxillio Facial they did blood tests and it was confirmed as P/A ,Grand Ma on Fathers side had P/A , Mother didnt have P/A , but like me she had type 1 Diabetes diagnosed at 47yrs , Fathers eldest sister became type 1 at 63 yrs of age .
I am so screwed.. both of my parents had diabetes, (type 2) neither
of them were overweight, they ate pretty decent, walked and rode
bicycles.. they must have inherited it from my grandparents, their own
parents..each one of them had a parent with diabetes.. the b12 issue
is a new one for the books in my family.. I am the lucky first person
to have it. . I had the sore tongue all of last year and figured it was
the spices that I was using to cook.. I looked outward for to blame.
I eat very healthy and run practically everyday..My mother has a naughty
immune system that is currently attacking her liver.. She never had a
single drink of alcohol in her life, her liver is non fatty but she is in
stage 4 liver failure (she feels normal, looks good) She is currently
in a study at a teaching hospital. Her energy level is back.. She's
eating more carefully, she's using a steroid (expensive stuff) that
targets just the liver, so she doesn't have the jitters and nasty side
effects that steroid give.. All of these diseases are inflammatory..
The toxins get into the body the immune system over reacts..
When I explain how inflammation works to my RA study group,
I tell them this.. . Inflammation is the immune system's first responders going into action, like the fire department when you have a house fire. They put out the fire but do a lot of damage to normal structures in the process. Imagine if the fire department showed up every time you lit the stove to boil water! In the same way, a chronic over-response to tiny insults causes chronic inflammation and all that follows.
Figuring out how to correct that is key.. We can control our diet, stay away from smoking, but the body will still spiral out of control with environmental
irritants become chronic. It can damage heart valves and brain cells, trigger strokes, and promote resistance to insulin, which leads to diabetes
Blah blah... haha.. it's boring and somewhat depressive. It's hard to
eat healthy and avoid high fat foods, red meats, comfort foods including
butter.. but those are the foods that feed the inflammation in our bodies..
We live the best that we can.. we hope for a pill that can fix it all..
It's a pain when we have to work so hard - right?
Looks like we both we both have serious auto-immune problems , but you still have a big part of your life sentence to serve , during your journey you pickup scraps of helpfull information , in the mid 1980s I had some consultations with an Iridologist some of it didnt help but the 2 things that worked was 4000 mg /day EP capsules and Hot then full Cold showers . The theory for both is getting rid of Toxins , EP is powerfull anti oxident , most of toxins exit through the skin , its best to use a natural bristle bath brush , didnt fancy that at first but really does work . I do it every day , you go in stiff and painfull and come out supple with less pain .it boosts circulation .
That's very useful information. EP is classified as a hormone supplement?
I looked it up but I can't find a list of the active ingredients. Is that some kind
of condensed calorie foods with lots of healthy greens and other nutrition?
You said that a lot of toxins exit through the skin, a lot also enter the same way.
I have never heard of someone trying to scrub off skin to release toxins..I think
that is what you are trying to tell me.. I would think then that the bristles could
puncture the skin and give me an infection. =))
(just kidding, I know exactly what you mean)
Hot showers and then cold immediately after, you say? I want the circulation
benefit, usually I have no symptoms of pain.. until I started up my b12 injections.
I had a devil of a headache along with a very upset stomach for most of yesterday.
My joints feel like I was hit by a train.. but today I am fine. I took the b12 injection
just a few nights ago ( wow, the energy surge that I felt) so I was pumped up
and feeling like I explained a few lines ago- but maybe it will work.. I am going
to talk with my doctor again.
Now about that EP.. what brand are you all taking? Does it contain caffeine?
Thank you in advance for the help with this..
I'm on. Methtrexate for my RA? Arnt you guys on that....it's an immune suppressant? I'm chronic with pain, had many many corrective surgeries......
