My daughter uses cyanocobalamin and self-injects weekly. Monthly injections, which is the maintenance dosage for cyanocobalamin, resulted in furthering neurological damage. Going to weekly injections solved this.

I use cyanocobalamin (IM) with half a 5mg folate tablet once every two weeks now (have done 4 years of weekly to 10 days), this gives me some 3-4 days of gastritis type symptoms untill I inject. My serum B12 levels are never over the max ref range of lab ( 161-531 ng/L = 119 - 392 pmol/ L), but higher than they were when on 5 years of 3 monthly hydroxo, my head is a lot clearer and I am stronger with the extra B12 and the folate seems to help with the gastritis type symptoms. Over the 5 years on standard hydroxo jabs I developped neurological problems such as loss of balanse etc.

I've been able to vote twice...sorry...it asked me again trough the PAS website orange sticky..so I did..

I am a new memer to the society.

Can someone plese give me profesional advice and information.

About 6wh ago, I went to the doctors feeling, out of breath, chest pains, legs hurting, He gave me my injection. the week later I felt the same. I had started taking Vitamin b12 tablets from the health shop.

the doctor sent me for blood tests. On the evening that I had the blood test, I was doing a friend a favour to cheer her up and went out for two hrs. I had two dry white wines and sodas. I had not eated that day, and very little the day before. I dropped my friend off, and was driving a short distance home, I was so hungry, I had to eat right then, I had a apple in my bag, in getting the apple, my car wibbled. Police behind me, they stopped me. I blew into the machine, he said I failed. I went into shock, I only had two drinks. I blew on the other machine and had to have blood taken. I am devistated, and my doctors says I am in shock. I just cannot stop crying, I canot believe it. Can someone please tell/help me. What effects wine has on someone with PA.

Thank You, Regards Jean
