is this a reaction to the medication?
I'd be tempted to go back to the specialist and discuss this.
i have just turned 41 and have been on sinemet and other pd meds since age 13years old. neroligist say the dyskenisa is side effects of having sinemet for so long. Sometimes i find the side effects of meds are worse than the parkinsons. i wpuld go back to nero and ask about dbs, which i think is about the only thing that helps thre dyskensia?
Hi Steven, i wonder what you mean by dyskinesia? You say something about foot stomping but i didnt quite follow what that is. I ask because Its unusual to have dyskinesia after only one year. dyskinesia is a side effect of long term medication use. Are you having trouble walking and what treatment are you on for your Parkinsons? I found it took over a year to get sorted on medication that helped me.
Steven by any chance is this what you are describing?
.... your toes curl into a claw-like position. Your foot may also turn in at your ankle and your big toe may extend.
Hi. I'm in my 40's recently diagnosed. Trouble walking sometimes too. Cramping in left foot with toes in claw like position. Sound familiar?
