Has anyone ever found a polyp (or two) in their vagina after having been treated for ovarian cancer? Could this be recurrence?

Hi Sarah,

I did find a cycst on the neck of my cervex just before my very first consultation appointment. The cyst or polup was benign and nothing more than a cyst caused by a collection of my own body fluid in which we make to cleane the vagina area.

These cysts are ever so common and they can come and go, or grow until they start to feel uncomforatable but they do not turn cancerous. At the time I discovered mine (I had no idea at the time obviously but) I had Ovarian cancer at a stage 3, grade 3 in which had spread to my bowel but the cyst was unrelated.

I hope this puts your mind at ease however, you must contact your oncologist straight away and ask to be seen. Alternatively see your GP, who did actually confirm mine was nothing to worry about.

I am also unsure to whether we would get a reocurrance of OC in the vagine - I was told its more likely to occur in the abdoman, colon, bowel, liver, kidney, omentrum for example. Maybe someone else could clarify this for us?

Good luck and all the best - do let us know how you get on, as we do worry for you

Tina xx
