I presume places vary but ours tends to be 1 week for the radiologist to put it in writing to the oncologist. The oncologist can get a hot report ie verbal within 24 hrs if deemed an emergency. Rgds Paul

You will prob find they will not discuss scan results over the phone even if its good news, I know our onc won,t so you will need to ring for an appt, best arrange it asap so your not waiting too long to get your results, good luck love Paul x

I get my results a couple of hours after the scan. It just shows it can be done. Cx

Dear Sandra

Ours take up to a week but I don't usually get the results for a month or so as I get feedback during my regular oncology appointments which are three-monthly. My GP can access the results via the hospital portal but I'm sure if there was something urgent your oncologist would be in touch.

best wishes. Annie xx

I go to the same hospital as Paul's wife and I had a CT scan last Friday and I'm in clinic tomorrow hopefully for the results

Good luck tomorrow

I have a scan and then wait 7 days and see the Onc When you first start with treatments there are discussion with a Multidisciplinary team which can take longer for results. Normally for us regulars it goes to the ONC and them to ourselves, Like Scardycat40 and Sandra we all go to the same hospital so I dont know if it varies. Good Luck I am due one on the 17th April, already winding myself up!!! Too many chocolates!!

I guess it varies from hospital to hospital my results are going to the multidisciplinary team so that will possibly slow things down ... I am very impatient and just want answers as for me not knowing is hard x
