Are there any clear cell adenocarcenoma survivo... - My Ovacome
Are there any clear cell adenocarcenoma survivors out there? Can you please tell me how many years you have survived post-treatment?
Hi SaraL,
No one can say how Clear cell adenocarcenoma will behave in the future, it is an aggresive type of tumour, but it as been known that clear cells can do well, even the oncologist dont know how they work, you could try calling the help line for Ovacome, better still ask your oncologist they can give you some sort of idea, I had the same tumour so I am also very intrested to know what will happen, what stage was your tumour? did your C125 come down with Chemo? mine was stage 3c and my C125 was 10.000 over and came down to 19 with chemo, the best outcome is how succesfull your surgery was, hope that helps a little.

hi
I was grade 3 stage 3 phase 3 and had my last chemo 5 yrs ago and am now on annual ca125. My latest done 2wks ago was 31.5 if thats any help. When I was goimg thru treatment Iread on the ovacom site a story from a lady who had survived clear cell for 9 yrs and counting and things have progressed a ;ot since then. Oncologists dont seem to be able to give u any definite info on clear cell and as we are in the 6 per cent of all cancer cases we seem to be in the 'suck itand see' bracket. As with Sarahs post it would be informative to find out whys and wherefores, so I'm with u on that one.

Hi WendyD
You must be on cloud nine, doing so well, just a couple of questions, did you have a complete debulking? i.e no tumours left behind? just chemotherapy after surgery? what did your C125 come down to after you finished chemotherapy? had your C125 creep up over the five years? or has it been steady? do you find getting your check ups every year nerve racking? have you ever had any set backs over the years? I have never heard of phase 3?
all the best.
