I am stage 3C and post chemo have been taking Letrozol for 12 months which now seems to have stopped being effective.

Has any one else been in this situation? I am seeing my consultant on Friday about a possible trial drug. The other opition will be is chemo once a week.

Hi, the weekly chemo is probably taxol, and although I have no experience of this there have been some questions and replies on here this month. Have a look at some of the older questions and you will hopefully find some useful info.

I am on a Phase 2/3 trial - ICON6.

There's a lot more going in and out of the hospital, tests etc, but you'll get that with weekly chemo too.

Phase 1 trials are the first stages of testing a drug & they are often testing for toxicity and side effects, and trying to find the right dosage of a drug for the maximum benefit. I would certainly ask how long the trial has been running and whether they have determined the optimum dosage yet. You don't want to be too much of a guinea pig.
