In episode 30, I am talking to Kate Mitchell, a young woman diagnosed with High Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer. Kate didn’t have the usual symptoms of this disease and was diagnosed after experiencing sudden pain. Kate has been very courageous in sharing how the diagnosis caused her to lose the chance of carrying her own baby. She went on to talk to me about the significant impact on her relationship with her then long term partner. He ended their relationship which left Kate so devastated but we discuss the impact on our partners and what support they need.
