Hi there...do make use of the emergency number you have been given to the chemo suite. They are best placed to advise. If they suggest something and it doesn’t work then ring again. Hoping your Mum feels a bit better soon xx
Thanks they did start a new medicine diarrhoea got controlled after that but still she is feeling very weak and not eating properly 6 th chemo tommorow hope she tolerates it well fingures crossed
Hiya. If in doubt, maybe your mom could check with her CNS or gp if they can recommend anything that brings relief.
I struggle with diarrhea as well. Because it has a habit of suddenly switching over to constipation, I don't dare to take Immodium however. So, I go easy on the Movicol (none during diarrhea days), and just keep drinking (water, tea and drinks containing electrolytes), eat salt sticks/crackers and treat my sore bottom with much care and water... until the bowel revolution is over.
Thanks maus123 my mom was given Imodium for 2 days didn't stop the diarrhoea gave her zeedot tablets 3 times a day it worked but still not able to eat much
