Hi Cath, this is a hard question to give a straight answer to but you do need to know why you have had the bleeds and should you be having any at all? Why do you have the back pains? The cyst might be malignant and it might not be too, when was it diagnosed and what we’re you told about it at the time?. I’m really sorry I can’t be more helpful and answer your question lovely but you really do need to see your doctor for the answers, blood tests and a scan would hopefully give you the answers you need. I hope it turns out to be nothing sinister but if it is then the sooner you find out the better and it can be dealt with. Let us know how you get on ❤️Xx Jane

Hi thank you for your reply Jane , I’ve had lower back pain on and off several years but last few months the pain has been daily associated with bloating , has vaginal scan which shows follicular cyst in the ovary , have been spotting for several months and gynae consultant told me to come off the pill and see him 3 months - I’ve come off the pill end of May , 3 weeks after had excruciating back pain and lower pelvic pain then had the pv bleeds the following day - just flooding - had to clean the carpet, then nothing - feel full , weight loss , spoke to consultant last week and told him , he knew I was off the pill but he’s now sending me for urgent mri scan , so in a right pickle plus have lost lot of weight

The MRI should give a clear picture of what’s going on and then you will know what the plan of action is for you going forwards. Your symptoms could be lots of things. Try not to worry too much, I know that’s easier said than done but worrying really doesn’t change things and now proper steps are being taken to find out why you’re having all these issues. It might be worth asking for a CA125 blood test, this is a protein marker test for OC, it’s not always indicative but it can help. Please try to stay off doctor google, it is so very easy to read the info there and turn it into something it’s not especially when you’re feeling vulnerable and scared. The info on google is often very out of date and in many cases not appropriate. I hope you get your answers very soon lovely, do let us know ❤️Xx Jane
