What happens when you ask a friend to take a photo....

We actually went out today - and it wasn't to a hospital. The sun shone and it was lovely. Asked our friend to take our photo - a rare event for me to be in front of the camera - and this is the result. What is the chance of us both blinking at the same time and it's the split second that the shutter clicks? Oh bugger it.... :-(

Happy days everyone. This is just a little bit of nonsense today because I am feeling so much more cheerful thanks to you all. xxxxxxxx

P.S. But I've got some hair!!!

What a lovely photo of you both, you appear to have sunshine there, I’m envious because we have what the weather makeruppers (aka forecasters ha!) call low cloud, it’s really very low cloud, so blooming low it’s creating damned puddles 🌂☔️ 😂. your hair is lovely and you really suit it short. I’m so glad you’re in a happier place and long may that continue but we’re still here if you need to have a chest getting off session. Keep smiling lovely ❤️Xx Jane

Thank you Jane. We had puddling mist first thing but then the sun appeared. We haven't seen it for ages and I was beginning to wonder where on earth it had gone. We are cold though. Chilly around the old willy still. How do you get those little hearts in your post? I have tried <-3 but that's exactly how it comes out. I can do these :-) and :-( but that's all. xxxx

I’m using my iPad, the hearts etc are emojis, it’s been a while since I’ve used my laptop but I will fire it up and see if there’s a way you can access these or something similar. The old grey matter certainly isn’t what it used to be but I’ll have a play ❤️Xx Jane

You have got some hair and you've both got the same colour hair! It must have been warm and sunny as you're not overly warmly dressed. I look as if I'm going ski-ing but without the style.

France and particularly Paris has been on the BBC news regarding the rain. There's a lot of rain here too but it would appear the Seine may flood the streets.

Do not be fooled, my little honey bee. We took our hats and coats off for the photo. I'm sitting on hubby's coat as the bench was wet and cold and covered in green slimy stuff. His coat is fur lined so nice and snuggly for the skinny old bum these days. I saw Paris on the news but thankfully, we live half way up a big hill so the rain goes downwards but our lane floods regularly as the drain cum soakaway in the road outside our house is not attached to the other drains in the lane and sometimes we need a boat to get out or in. The mayor said that it will be connected up in July, but he didn't say which year and that was five years ago. They don't rush things in France. Now the overhead cables are going underground - they started last July and are still at it. Slowly. There are great big holes all over the hamlet with bits of red/white tape flapping about which are supposed to stop people (and cars) disappearing into them. We have one outside the house with a traffic cone either side of it and our house earth cable exposed to the elements and sitting in a water filled hole. Very useful !! Now the workmen can't dig a channel outside our house to bury the cables because there's been a mini lake there every day for weeks. I told the workmen to go see the mayor. Perhaps then he'll realise that we are still waiting for the drain connection. I would laugh if we weren't so fed up with the paddling pool outside the gate. I warn visitors to bring waders if they want to come in.

Usually, January is our coldest month here but this year it has been delayed until February. It's such a shame as things are growing now. I've Nasturtiums coming up in the window boxes where they have seeded themselves. They'll be gone in the Feb frosts. But, Feb will be sunny. At last. I hope you don't get colder over there.

A bientot.

Hi Kryssy. So please to read you are feeling a bit better and that you are back to your humorous self keep it up.... take care Lorraine xx 💙💙

PS..My husband is a computer geek he put the hearts on my lap top, I call us beauty and the geek, he designs web site for the government, to just turn on the TV is a major feat in our house where are the days when you just pushed the on switch and off,

I'm with you Lorraine. I'm not a big tv watcher and the remote really confuses me. I usually end up getting in a fix if I want to watch something that needs a channel change. We have a spare tv in the bedroom in case of illness and it switches itself on and off during the night. Never long enough for a picture to appear but I hear the little clicks sometimes. Weird. I think it has a mind of its own. xxx

Delighted that you’re feeling cheerful after a few rocky days and lovely to see your photo. You look really good with short hair. I love any sign of Spring and have snowdrops and primroses flowering in my garden. Jo 🌼🌸🌺🌹🌻

My son takes about 20 shots in a split second in case anyone he photographing blinks! I always thought it was overkill but apparently not! You STILL look great and I actually believe that smile is genuine even tho you were pretty down a couple of days ago. The sun can be an amazing mood changer! Dreary as anything in New York City right now...I am enjoying your photo of the sun Kryssy! oxox

Our friend did use my camera so was a bit unsure of the controls as it's a DSLR and not a point and shoot.

Not to worry as there'll be lots more photo opportunities. Take care xxx
