For a MRI scan, could this mean it is definitely OC? Any comments would be appreciated.n

Does anyone know that after having a ct scan for suspected ovarian cancer and still not being given the results why my friend would be sent
No, they're just not sure what it is. Some cysts, masses, lumps, or tumours aren't classified until they're actually removed. Kat x
Thank you for your time another wait after MRI tomorrow grrrr Bridget x
No-one can actually say what's going on until, if there is enough cause for concern, your friend is sent for an operation and the histology analysed. Have a look at the Ovacome website, under 'resources' to read all about it on the Factsheets. There is all the info and jargon that your friend will need on there. She's lucky to have a friend like you, helping her along
Good luck
Love Wendy xx
Hi there
Welcome....as the other ladies have said this just means that the doctors want more information....different types of scans give different levels of data. Regardless of what any of the investigations reveal the only certain way of finding out if any mass is of concern is for it to be surgically removed and tested by a pathologist.
I hope that everything works out for her. You sound like a wonderful support for her.
Best wishes
Hi thank you for taking the time to comment. She has had an ultrasound and ct scan and a blood test her doctor told her that her blood count was 200 and that they must rule out OC because a mass on the ovary however when visitin the oncologist gyno who hadn't looked at the CT scan!! Was told her blood was nothing to worry about and that they will have a meeting and look at ct scan if there was a problem they wld call her back for a MRI scan which they have now done that's today. I have read a lot of posts on here and my friend has every symptom tht everyone has mentioned on here, it seems to be an illness that takes time to diagnoze this is 7 weeks down the line altho she has been ill a lot longer but wouldn't go to docs. Thanks again Bridget x
