No was advised not to as not necessary when my family history was discussed.

Yes gone for genetic testing results in 5 weeks. A lot of family cancer, breast and now me ovarian. Results a forgone conclusion for BRCA 2, so i was told on the day.

Where did you go to get the test and how much did it cost

Referred by onocologist to Crumlin Genetics in Our Ladys Hospital Dublin and its free.

hi all, i dont know how to go about going for this test, can anyone help me out. I lost my mam to ovarian cancer in october 2012. thanks a mill. kaz

Yes - was referred for it after triple negative breast cancer 2008, followed by OC stage 1c 2010. Also family history. Came back negative. Just got OC recurrence in lymph nodes. Consultant and I both have a feeling there's maybe a different gene.
