Heavy Heart
I'm really sorry to hear this news. I hadn't realised she was so poorly. I was one of the group who was inspired by her enthusiastic and upbeat posts. I shall miss her even though we never met but her words and her spirit will remain forever in my heart.Â
If you are in touch with her family please do pass on my most sincere condolences. xxxx Annie
I just heard the news and am so sorry to hear that. She will be sadly missed and such a wonderful sense of humour. My lasting image of her will be with that crazy mohican wig at the patient day. RIP Daisies
I am also  greatly saddened today by the loss of a wonderful person.  Daisies was inspirational and kind and caring.  She was also funny with a quirky sense of humour.  I also remember her throwing her" designer" wig at the Patient Day here in Cork.  Daisies gave a lot of time to this forum giving support and very good advice.  She fought her illness in the past year or so, with optimism and always had hope.  So all we can do is keep on doing what we are doing.  Daisies will be missed a lot by her Ovacare family in Cork. May be be at peace.
May Daisies rest in peace . When I joined this forum 2 years ago Daisies inspired me and made me laugh again.
Sorry that should read May she now be at peace
Thank you MissFitz, writing such a post is a difficult one,
I cannot believe it. She was one of the 1st women I met a the coffee mornings in Cork and she made me so welcome .We have been PM each other over the last few months but the last message I sent her about a month ago she didn't reply. God Bless you Maureen and may you have a great time flying around in Heaven with your Teal Wings and your Mohican wig .My heart is breaking ,she is the 1st lady on this site who I know who has died. RIP my friend.
Hi Kittie, I couldnt believe the text from her sister this morning. Â I did message Maureen about a month ago and she said she was up and down. Â I was thinking of her again during the week. Â I remember her as cheerful, kind, supportive, had many interesting discussions with her at the coffee mornings, Â Maureen also did her bit for OC awareness and made noises in the right places for better services for Ovarian Cancer Patients. Â We will indeed miss her presence at the Patient Day but she will be there with us in spirit I am sure.
I agree with you Suzuki she was a great character. She started PM me about another lady who was sick and kept asking her how I was, and like the Lady she was she make sure she found out for that lady. As soon as I seen Missfitz head line I knew without reading. Oh this horrible disease it has sure brought it home to me that it is horrible horrible horrible. I think it is back to Dochas Cancer Support for me next week. Kittie
Hi Kittie, Â yes its sad days, but we have to keep on keeping on. Â Maureen will always be in our thoughts. Â It is a tough one at the moment. Â Mind yourself and do go to Dochas for a chat. Â Best Wishes J

So sad today to hear of Maureen's death. She was such a constant at our coffee mornings and patient days. She told her story at my 1st Patient Day. I loved her sense of humour. M
I am so sad to hear this news. I am lost for words. Good bless you daisies for all you did for us on this site and with the women who you touched with your fun outlook on life and your kindness. Condolences to your friends and family.Â

Yes ver sad, she was so upbeat xxx rip x
So sorry to hear the very very sad news. She was an inspiration and a fighter, the coffee mornings will be missing another star.R.I.PÂ
Yes Annie, the vibrant chat and sense of humour and wisdom will certainly be missed. Â It is a sad weekend but Maureen would want us all to keep on fighting the HSE and this horrible illness. Â But a word of wisdom that Emer, the profs Nurse gave me many years ago, she said to remember we are all different. Â It took me a while to realise what she mean but she meant we all react differently to treatment and side effects and the illness itself because our systems are not the same. Â So we just keep on keeping on as much as we can. best wishes
im so sorry and in total shock .this is indeed sad news- love SineadÂ
