We are asking for your help to further raise the profile of our charity, the Oesophageal Patients Association (OPA) and to increase its outreach. The OPA works aiming to raise awareness of the following three diseases: Oesophageal Cancer, Gastric Cancer and above all Gastro Oesophageal Reflux Disease (GORD), commonly known as acid reflux, as this last disease is potentially a pre-cursor to cancer of the oesophagus or stomach itself.
We are asking for your help in promoting our aims by ordering a free information pack to be displayed in an appropriate place.
You may wish to place a pack in your local Doctor’s Surgery, your Upper GI [Gastro-Intestinal] Department at your local hospital, library, or local pub/restaurant, place of work or even to share with your friends and family.
To play a part in this exciting campaign, head over to the OPA Shop and select the best range, or the full pack, of information that you could use to assist in promoting our awareness campaign.

The full pack will consist of relevant information booklets, leaflets, as well as a display stand to exhibit the material (if desired).
Thanks for helping with the OPA “Place a Pack” Campaign.

About Acid Reflux
The OPA has been devoting resources to raising awareness about acid reflux and its symptoms and will continue to do so to alert sufferers to its causes and to the treatments available. Did you know that, in a population of over 65 million people in the UK, it is estimated that over 1 in 10 of its population suffer from acid reflux? This disease can have a terrible impact on a person’s quality of life and affect many aspects of their health and wellbeing. For many such sufferers, this can often be managed effectively with lifestyle changes and/or medication prescribed by their GP such as omeprazole, lansoprazole (as well as others). However, there are over 2 million people in the UK who we believe still experience some or all of the symptoms and are not seeking or receiving the appropriate medical review, advice, or treatment.
