Iqoro, has anyone purchased this gadget, to relieve symptoms
Iqoro: Iqoro, has anyone purchased this... - Acid Reflux Support
Iqoro

Its funny you mention this. I took a print out about it to my GP earlier this week, she said another patient had mentioned it too recently. It can now be prescribed on the NHS the leaflet said and she concurred. She has suggested I speak with my gastroenterologist to see what he thinks, she was happy to prescribe it if he though it useful.
I cant tolerate PPIs as they trigger my cardiac arrhythmias, H2 blockers give me gastric pain and due to failed oesophageal peristalsis a nissen fundoplication op isnt an option for me. I though this device was worth at leat pursuing.
Hi, I purchased an Iqoro device back in 2020. I have GERD, especially night-time acid reflux and have been on PPI's for about 6 years, which don't always control my night-time symptoms. Unfortunately I found the Iqoro made reflux worse for me. I have tried it several times over the last few years, but within 2 -3 days I have much worse acid reflux and pain in my sternum. Hopefully it may work for you, anything is worth a try especially now it is available on NHS.
It’s completely changed my life and I wouldn’t be without it. I have had severe reflux for 30 plus years and have tried almost every treatment out there including of course PPI’s. The most important thing with the iqoro is that you need to persevere - if your reflux is severe it can take months before you get the results that you want. I have been using mine for 4 years now - it took six months for the best result and I use it daily for maintenance.
