Anyone waiting for Nissen Surgery?

Just wondering if anyone on here is due to have Nissen surgery and their thoughts & feelings pre op!

Hi I've not been on for a while,my daughter had terrible acid reflux and was taking at least 5 amoprizole a day,she also had stage2 oesophagitis had to sit up in bed because acid would come up into her lungs she would be coughing all night and I mean all night.Was on waiting list to have operation .I told Dr I would get this sorted and I have She is not on any medication sleeps with only one pillow no acid reflux and oesophagitis and took off list for op Drs are amazed had endoscopy all clear no inflimation

Hi .. on weds my nissen got cancelled .. nhs. Its a big op. which i dont relish but got reflux and unsure (no proof personally) about ppis so no choice; op it is. Im awaiting a cancellation. I wasnt offered a lynx procedure which is less invasive. Cheers. Gary

Hi Gary,

I am 7days post op!

And you won't believe this but I'm off to see my surgeon tomorrow to get discuss having it reversed/undone...

Hi Ceri (???). My word .. a Nissen reversal .. what was the story there then ... hows it going.

I had my Laporascopic Nissen Fundoplication (LNF) 360 done on 6sep by NHS in London. 3 days in hosp. Im home now. Ive written it up on here (to read please search LNF) as I still get what I think is bile reflux (which I had hoped LNF would have cured). My doctors tell me it takes a while for everything to settle down (its a big op). I go back on 20oct for follow up.
