Swollen lymph node in groin that the team want to investigate.18 months post op and feeling really well.Anyone come across this?

I suppose that this is one of those things where you cannot anticipate the answer. It does seem a long way away to be the normal route for metastatic spread/recurrence, so let's hope for a positive result from the scan etc.

It does not stop you becoming a bit anxious about it, but you have our best wishes for a result that reassures you.

Hi,

I'm 14 months post op and I get a blood test every 3 months where I'm told any recurrence should be spotted via markers in the blood and/or haemoglobin count (to show bloodless/anaemia). They also have a poke around but never lower than mid gut area.

I'm sure all will be fine, the body is under a lot of pressure coping with the new regime and its quite possible to get a few quirks here and there.
