Burping

It's 6 years since I had my op and I.ve always burped a lot after eating does any one else find this happens to them? I don't eat and drink at the same time I wait about an hour after eating to have a drink.

Happens all the time due to our new plumbing.

Thanks for replying it,s more noticeable sometimes than others so I just wanted to know if it’s a common problem after the op

It definitely is and it’s one of many things but we are all still here to tell the story x

I'm 17 years post-op and I still burp a lot after eating and drinking. It's because my stomach is only 4 inches below my throat!

Hi there,

Yes I had this and had numerous test’s to see if it were to do with bacteria in gut etc. Everything was negative.

I was prescribed Sucralfate and this has stopped it .

I hope you can sort yours.
