Hi guts, as promised an update on the situation.I have today seen gynaecology and I am due for a scan tomorrow, weds 18/09. The gynaecologist thinks I have a fibroid as it is nearer the womb than the ovary, the scan will shed light on this.

Managed to speak to my oncology nurse, there are a few issues outstanding, a tummy stretch being one of them, she is going to be having a word with the team, see what's planned.

By the time I got home, I had a phone call for a pre- assessment on Sunday for procedure due on the 27th, only problem is, I shall be in Cyprus from the 25th! So pre- assessment is going ahead with the intention of procedure when I'm back. I am assuming the gastroenterology will be in contact in due course.

All in all she was very reassuring and said if there were any major concerns my file would flag up as red, which it hasn't. So , watch this space for the next instalment!

All the best

June
